It is very useful to get to know players earlier in their careers, particularly when there are fewer others trying to get a bit of their time. We want them to know we are interested in them as people, not so much their golf games, and so this Tour is a good place to establish such a relationship.
Also, with the growth of the Challenge Tour, there are now many players who spend a year (or longer) on this Tour having lost their card on the regular Tour.
If we have got to know the player on the regular Tour it is so helpful to be able to maintain the relationship while they play the now very competitive Challenge Tour.

Some exciting news for 2012 is that David Lewis will be able to fill the role of Chaplain on the Challenge Tour, as well as serve in several other areas of the ministry. You may remember that David has been helping us for a few years whilst waiting for a suitable ministry opportunity to come along which will dovetail well with a part-time paid role for LOGOS Golf Ministries. He has now accepted a prison ministry position with Daylight Ministries and this is an answer to our prayers of the last 2-3 years; we are very grateful to the Lord for His provision of a worker for this harvest field.
